About Us

Chiropractic, as a healthcare profession, focuses on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system.

It involves the safe, gentle and specific manipulative treatment of restricted joints – especially those of the spinal column, which are believed to cause other disorders by affecting the nerves, muscles and organs.

During the chiropractic appointment the doctor will first understand the cause and source of your complaint and then focus on treating the cause in order to restore normal range of motion, improve overall movement and help relieve pain.

Treatments and Services

What happens when you visit a chiropractor?

A full physical examination will be conducted during the first consultation in order for your chiropractor to understand your complaint, diagnose and treat it. This includes appropriate orthopaedic and neurological tests, whereby muscle strength, nerve function and joint function, as well as body balance and alignment are determined. Your chiropractor will then be in a position to establish problem areas and identify the source of the complaint.

Once your chiropractor has diagnosed the problem, he or she will recommend a treatment plan. This could be in the form of only a single visit or your condition may also require further, continued care, necessitating several treatments to stabilise the problem. Treatment will most likely include manipulation, soft tissue therapies and other techniques such as heat, ice, shockwave, dry needling, massage and exercise to enhance results.

Chiropractic is not an invasive therapy, however patients are often required to remove certain items of clothing to enable the chiropractor to examine and treat the condition appropriately. Gowns are available for our patients to wear for the examination and treatment.

What we commonly treat

Back pain

Chiropractic provides a long-term, successful solution for sufferers of back pain, and is recognised as the most physically and cost-effective treatment for back pain.

Frequent Headaches

Chiropractic treats the cause of the pain, not just the pain itself, and is a safe and sensible alternative to painkillers.

Neck pain

Your neck supports the weight and movement of your head. Chiropractic ensures your neck maintains its normal range of motion with decreased pain.

Healing after an accident or whiplash

Chiropractic focuses on the root of the problem and goes beyond what may or may not be revealed on an X-ray.

Sports injuries

Chiropractic ensures a faster and more effective recovery after a sports injury, and is often the preferred therapy by top sports people.

Pregnancy discomfort

Chiropractic helps you appreciate your pregnancy by assisting the changes your body is experiencing and decreasing the discomfort that may accompany the pregnancy journey.

Birth trauma and colic

Natural birth and C-section is often traumatic for both mother and child. Chiropractic may help you and your baby recover from this enormous process.
